Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor of History. Also served as Head of the Department of History at The University of Arizona, and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean at the College of Saint Mary, a private Catholic university for women. Specializes in Mexican American History, Mexican Immigration, and Early 20th Century U.S. History. Publications include: Operation Wetback: The Mass Deportation of Mexican Undocumented Workers in 1954; and Mexicans in the Midwest, 1900 to 1932.
