George Herrera is the founder, President and CEO of the Herrera-Cristina Group, Ltd, a Hispanic-owned, multidisciplinary management firm, specializing in marketing, communications, corporate diversity, public affairs, event planning, and research. Founded in 2003, with offices in New York City and Washington, D.C., the Herrera-Cristina Group has an impressive roster consisting of Fortune 100 companies and national organizations as clients.

Mr. Herrera serves as an Independent Director of the Board of Directors of Wyndham World Wide Corporation, the world’s largest hospitality company, where he serves as Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee, and is a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Herrera has also served as an Independent Director of the Cendant Corporation, having replaced former Secretary of Defense the Honorable William S. Cohen.

In August of this year, Mr. Herrera, joined Burger King Corp.'s Diversity Action Council, which is made up of Burger King professionals and outside business leaders.

"George's understanding of and influence in the Hispanic community is unparalleled and promises to be an indispensable asset to the DAC," John Chidsey, Burger King's chief executive officer, said in a statement. "George's membership in the DAC is a key addition to the advisory body."

The DAC, started in 1991, serves as an independent advisory board for Burger King's diversity development goals. It represents the franchise and community interests of African Americans, Hispanics, Asians and other minority groups.

From 1998-2004, Mr. Herrera served as President & Chief Executive Officer of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. As head of the USHCC, Mr. Herrera was primarily responsible for communicating the interest of over 1.5 million Hispanic-owned businesses across the country to both the private and public sectors, and addressing critical economic issues that impact Hispanic entrepreneurs.

Mr. Herrera is the creator of the national syndicated television show "Hispanics Today", which is seen on NBC, CBS and ABC networks throughout the United States. Viewed by over 30 million viewers weekly, Hispanics Today showcases the accomplishments of Hispanics in business, politics, sports, and entertainment. As a result of its popularity and consistent ratings success since its inception in 1999, Hispanics Today spawned from a monthly television show (1999) into a weekly, syndicated news-magazine series, in 2001.

In 2002, Mr. Herrera was named a Fellow of the Wharton Society of Fellows, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
